So, finally was able to finish my “office corner” dedicated to this hobby.

This came after getting a new 30A switch mode power supply and a new dual band (2m and 70cm), the Anytone AT-779UV.

Of course I had to get a basic Ikea table and quickly put it together, everything coming up as the following:

Radio Shack

You can also see in the image above the two Baofeng (UV-5R and UV-5RH), along with a Raspberry PI 4 with a 7 inch touchscreen display that has the RTL-SDR v4 dongle attached, connected to a discone antenna in my loft.

So, the full listing on my “equipment” is:

  • Moonracker switch mode 30A power supply
  • Anytone AT-799UV dual band radio
  • Baofeng UV5R handheld radio
  • Baofeng UV5RH handheld radio
  • Tecsun PL-330 radio receiver
  • RTL-SDR v4 USB dongle
  • Raspbery PI with 7 inch touchscreen display (acting as a “radio server” running OpenWebRX accessible in my LAN)
  • Dual Band vertical antenna (2m/70cm in loft)
  • Desktop discone antenna (in loft)
  • Notepad & Pen 🙂

There’s still work to be done, but it’s a start…
